Shared Ground

Sacred Ground is an upcoming group art exhibition and community fundraiser organized in support of artist Leah Kohlenberg as she undergoes cancer treatment. Bringing together regional artists in a shared act of care, the exhibition highlights the strength, creativity, and interconnectedness of the arts community.
Hosted by Cambium Gallery, which has represented Kohlenberg for six years, Sacred Ground will feature a diverse collection of works donated by fellow artists who have been impacted by Leah’s generosity, mentorship, and artistic voice. A portion of all sales will directly support medical expenses and ongoing treatment costs.

Rockaway Beach by Jessica Prior
Leah Kohlenberg is known for her thoughtful, layered work exploring landscape, memory, and the emotional terrain of place. Her presence in the regional arts community has been both grounding and expansive both of which are qualities reflected in the exhibition’s title. Sacred Ground speaks to the spaces we build together: in studios, in galleries, and in moments of collective support.
“This exhibition is about showing up for one another,” says Cambium Gallery. “Leah has given so much to this community. Sacred Ground is our way of gathering that care and sending it back to her.”

The exhibition invites collectors, friends, and community members to participate not only in viewing and purchasing artwork, but in standing alongside an artist during a critical time. Additional fundraising events and opportunities to contribute will be announced throughout the run of the show.
